Many people when they are first getting married are on a budget. So of course they aren’t wanting to spend more than $300 for a mens ring. Of course there are some people that do. But also many people don’t spend much because they simply dont have enough. Luckily there is a option for those people who want class but also dont want to spend too much. Going with Cubic Zirconia stones over Diamonds is such a better idea. They look great but dont cost a tons. So that is what i would recommend to all of you. There is a company i have found, that has very nice diamonds for a great price as well, but usually its hard to find companies like that. I just found which ring i was talking about. The Triton Collection model 21-2058S has a 1/8 ctw Diamond and has yellow gold. The price is barely over that $300 mark i was talking about earlier. So for those who want the best option, i recommend checking them out.

If you are on a budget go with cz’s over diamonds
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009A Question of Quality
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009If I am searching for the very best in a men’s ring - where do I go to find it? Do I have to go to the expensive mall stores and pay thousands of dollars? In some cases the answer is yes if what you want is something unique, one-of-a-kind, and loaded to the hilt with precious stones. These are to be found in high-end jewelry boutiques in places like Las Vegas, New York, Paris and the like.
But if you are looking for high quality without breaking the bank - and in this economy that might need to be taken into consideration - you might check the online sellers on the market today. I have found a number of stores (online) that offer very lovely products at discounted prices featuring some of the hottest, freshest styles including ceramic rings.
You can spend a few hundred or a few thousand but you need not spend tens of thousands to get the one you love. For instance, log on to mensringstore.com. Look at their Triton Collection. Wow! Most of these are under $1,000 and have diamonds, gold inlays and even cable woven into the designs.
In any event, they are out there and the quality is superb - good luck and don’t get taken to the cleaners.
Ring Politics
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009Any sense to this statement - ring politics. Let me explain what I mean …
Is it politically correct to buy your own engagement ring? Does the man always have to buy the products? Can the woman buy it - or do they buy together? Is it appropriate - politically - to wear the ring before the ceremony? Is there a statement regarding the color or size of this? Is it OK to wear a different wedding ring for different occasions or to match different wardrobes? Do the parents get involved in this decision - why or why not? Which finger do you wear it on? Which hand? Maybe it’s not all politics - but as you can see there are a number of shall we say protocols when buying and wearing rings that are more accepted in our culture.
Then there is the question of ring material - does a man’s ring need to be gold? Tungsten? Silver? Platinum? Of can he wear one of the newer materials such as the fashionable ceramic rings on the market today? Who makes these decisions anyway? I guess we have to leave it to personal taste on the part of the ultimate wearer of the ring - be they man or woman.
My choice these days is from the Triton Ring Collection - a little more expensive but the quality is the finest of any ring I have ever seen!
The college scene and wedding rings
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009Know where more wedding bands are sold than anywhere in the country - you guessed it - at or near college campuses. All you have to do is look on the college campus bulletin board to see the latest sellers and buyers … even some selling when she said no!
Popular items these days in this age group are tungsten rings and titanium rings. I think they are typically priced right and the younger generation wants one that doesn’t scratch or tarnish - these two metals fit the bill.
Another strong contender these days is stainless steel men’s rings. They also have a great reputation for lasting a long time without denting, scratching and looking their age. Oh, don’t we all wish that could be said of us!
Ring bags vs. Ring boxes
Monday, April 27th, 2009If you were to buy - let’s say a men’s ring online. What would you want it to come in? A bag or a box? Many cheaper companies might include a ring bag with the order for free. They in reality get these for around $.10 and they look crummy.
Now compare that to a box. A black leather or wood style. Now we are talking. I mean, when you buy something, you should be getting the best, not a cheap bag for free, but something that makes the ring look even better! Not something that makes it look worse. Many times they are purchased for marriages anyways. Would you want to buy a man’s ring, no matter who is buying it, and have it look used? No. So why should they come in something that costs very little and doesn’t last. Marriages stand for stability and long-lasting relationships - lot’s of the times when you buy something that symbolizes this union, you want whatever you buy to showcase this love and commitment to your soul mate. So if I have a say - never settle for something that you won’t be completely happy with. Just like how you are when your married, you find the most perfect person, one that will stay with you through thick and thin, through poverty and wealth … that is how your jewelry should be packaged as well!
Add to this concept a lifetime warranty and a 30-day return policy on your ring and you have the right combination!
YouTube for advertising tungsten rings
Monday, April 27th, 2009Many people think that doing little things for their business is going to help. Doing small ads here and there and maybe 1 YouTube video to me just doesn’t seem like it would bring in much business. People have to be searching for you, not just come across a video all of a sudden. Tungsten rings for example, are best sold through online websites or in jewelry stores. Online stores seem like the best idea, because of the ease of running one, overhead costs will be lower as well meaning less expensive prices.
But to get back to the point. Many people try and advertise on YouTube and other websites. To me, if you aren’t getting a sale a day from it, then it’s not worth it. Also, I just don’t think it brings in that many sales for most people, the way it might work is if you are a real professional that knows exactly what they are doing. Overall, many people have lots of ideas for there companies, but doing small simple things just doesn’t seem to work, I say it for myself, things like that haven’t worked for me either. Im sure its pretty similar to others as well. Tungsten rings and Titanium rings are popular, the trick is just to find people to see what you are selling. This is called Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for online sellers (like optimizing men’s rings) and expensive paper/television advertising for retailers.
Tungsten Ring Powder bad for you?
Monday, April 27th, 2009Although I am not into making jewelry, I still have my own opinions on what I think is good and bad for you. To me, it seems that breathing the powder that is used for a tungsten ring seems like a horrible idea. Of course, if you are wearing a mask or a machine is making it then I’m sure that’s fine.
Once again, all these blogs are only my opinions. These are not facts. But just like breathing in rock dust, that is horrible for you, I’m sure breathing something that is then made into the 2nd strongest metal (men’s rings) in the world is probably very bad as well. Once they are made, then of course its safe to look at and wear. But the process in making them, the part the customers never see, that’s the bad part in my own opinion. Hopefully if I’m right there are people that have taken proper precautions to prevent harm to their or other people’s bodies.I don’t think the same precautions need to be made while making other rings such as titanium or ceramic rings.
Since other types of mens rings are made out of different materials, that would have to be discussed in a completely different blog. But for now, this seemed to have concluded my own opinion on what I think is safe to breathe and what is not. Of course for me, I have asthma, so will I’ll be concerned a little more about what I breathe than what others may think about there breathing.
Whats the deal with good inlaid titanium rings?
Monday, April 27th, 2009What a great question. There are so many types of inlays now available in titanium rings. Of course there will be with many different types of metal, but this one to me seems to definitely win the competition. Not only does it come in plain styles, but there are so many different types of inlays you can put in them, to add in some jazz to the ring. Let me go over some different types here.
Mokume Gane for example is basically Damascus Steel. These can be just a silver color or different colors can be added into the ring to help it stand out more in a crowd. If I had to describe these I would say they are like Celtic designs on turbo. Much more involved but definitely great looking rings.
Next up, we have precious metal inlays, these have been around for a very long time. You can inlay gold in these, or platinum. The designs can be Celtic looking, or a more basic looking inlay. The colors can differ, same with the textures, for example. Would you like the ring to be fully brushed, or polished? How about comfort fit or not? As you can see, there are so many choices, all of which suit individual people different ways.
Have you ever seen styles with hardwood in them? Yes that’s right, you can now have wood in the design. They seem to last a long time as well because most have a polished surface coating over the wood to help keep it looking new for a very long time. Some will be different colors as well. Some more options that are available might be adding Cubic Zirconia stones or Diamonds. These are basically implanted into the metal. This seems to be one of the hottest styles of men’s rings available. The only other style in my opinion that is very competitive is having carbon fiber in it. The colors can vary as well, no longer do they only have to be white or black.
Laser engraved styles are very popular, because there are simply so many options. You are never limiting yourself when looking at these new titanium rings. You can groove out the inside of the ring, or you can etch in letters or numbers in it. Overall, looking at all these styles, you are sure to find something that is pleasing to you when your looking for something to buy. Want to receive a little “eye candy” - check the styles on mensringstore.com!
Why outsourcing to others can be a great option
Monday, April 27th, 2009Many new companies selling jewelry think they can do everything themselves. Lets say a company’s goal is to sell tons of tungsten rings. You can’t do that individually, it takes too many people. You have to take care of taxes, shipping, customer’s emails, there is so much work that is involved. Having other people do work for you is a great option sometimes. How about advertising, that is the main part. Many people just think, oh, I will just do that myself, but in reality they don’t really know what they are doing so that’s why there are some companies hat are not successful.
In fact, about I think its around 90% of websites are not in front of customers, they just exist without ever attracting a customer to them! Many people have ideas of what to sell, but then actually getting lots of customers is where they fail. Selling mens rings is a hard thing to do sometimes, because there is so much involved, stocking everything and being organized is just one step in being successful. The there is where to sell - retail? Online? Kiosks? Malls? Door to door? It can be a real challenge and many companies are going out of business.
Using Tungsten Carbide for Medieval Warriors
Monday, April 27th, 2009Just like on some movies, warriors seem to be very popular. In fact, I used to live in a place where my neighbors would dress up in costumes or uniforms I guess you could say, and they would use fake swords and hit each other with them. Of course they would have armor on them. But they were so heavy, that is to protect them from the swords. So here is my plan …
Why not use tungsten carbide rings? I mean, it would never scratch, and would be a hit among many people. This doesn’t scratch and this metal looks new forever, just like what everyone else is talking about. So that is why I am saying the same thing, its simply because they are that way, the jewelry is so attractive, and seems to stand out in a crowd. If you’re reading this you must think that this is crazy, but also know that new ideas are accepted very much in the United States. So this - one day in the distant future - maybe the same way.
Of course the best way to use tungsten is for men’s rings - that is what they were designed for and they appear to be very popular so why press a good thing anyway?
