Have you ever purchased two men’s rings at once - if so why? I have wondered about this since I saw a guy just that - two ceramic rings purchased at the same time! I wish I had asked him why at the time but I did not - now I can only speculate. I mean to me it is like buying two watches - why not just one?
Here are some possible reasons … it prevents one from wearing out so fast but with the newer styles like tungsten rings that are virtually scratch-proof you really don’t need to be so concerned about them scratching or fading or discoloring, etc. How about this reason … you wear one for a particular style of dress and the other for another … no, that’s not it!
The only thing that makes any sense to me is that you wear one to work - maybe through the week - and the other one for more formal activities such as going on a date or an outing with someone special or maybe even to church or fancier social events.
I don’t think I have it figured out yet … watn to give it a try? Send me a blog, I’d love to hear from you.
Any thoughts on this question? The number one factor when buying a men’s ring? Let’s explore some options:
size
color
inlaid materials
price
style and fashion
wife’s (friend’s) suggestion and/or approval
gut feel
feel on your finger
eye-catching appeal
durability
OK. My first guess is #4 because we all have a particular price in mind when buying almost anything! For instance a ceramic ring at $109 is maybe in your price range but a tungsten ring at $500 is not. So, it appears to me that we first and foremost decide a price range and then we move on to all the other decisions listed above.
Want to try for a second spot?
OK - here goes. I think #2 would be eye-catching appeal because we all want something that LOOKS nice, that matches our taste. Price then looks … what are your thoughts? Let me know when you hav e amoment - I would love to hear form you. Thanks
Why would a person think that these new tungsten rings could ever be a standard for anything, much less a global standard. Well, it’s a good question and it has a few answers.
These new rings are made to last and to look fashionable and stylish … yet can be a rugged manly statement preferred by those searching for a men’s ring.
They will not scratch - well they won’t scratch easily. They do not mar like other ones will and they do not tarnish. Yet they can be made to look fantastic - almost any kind of inlaid material you can think of can be added to these durable, rock-solid creations.
Some of the more expensive ones are even patented like the new Trition Tungsten Ring collection. They are worth the extra money … trust me. They are protected under patent TC.850 and made using a 30-step finishing process. These are made to not only look great, but to last a lifetime.
Just a few reasons these new styles are taking the globe by storm!
Many times in life we make hard decisions based upon our circumstances. Choosing between jobs that take us away from our home too much but pays well versus a less paying job that allows more quality home time. Hard choices and we are confronted with them daily. Well, that’s life!
Every so often we make a decision that has far reaching consequences but these same decisions appear to be just another ordinary decision - nothing too noteworthy. Take for instance when we buy a men’s ring to signify a covenant between two people. Simple decision - right? Right - gold or silver or maybe even one of the newer, more fashionable categories like ceramic rings.
But the decision to unite in holy matrimony is far from ordinary. And the ring just purchased therefore becomes a symbol of far more than something to wear as a fashion statement throughout life. It’s times like these that a little more thought is justified by the deeper meaning and longer term consequences of the decision. Divorce rates are at 50% right now - why? Selfishness? Lack of commitment? Bad communication. Probably all of the above - so let’s not make it worse … let’s take the time to make the long term decisions with a little more thought and careful meditation before junping into the unknown.
I have wondered about this - not just with men’s rings - but with a variety of subjects. Does a car have to cost a lot to be high quality? A home? A coat? A dining room table? A barbecue grill? The list marches on …
My personal, short answer to this question is no. But there are some caveats. I also believe you get what you pay for - this means in most cases that in order to buy once (buy right the first time) one needs to pay for the quality up front. An example might be that a new Honda will last longer than a used Yugo.
What makes this particularly interesting in this century is that we now have the internet. If one is wise and does hi/her homework … you can save a lot of money using search engines to help you find what you are looking for.
I wanted a tungsten ring and so I shopped - everywhere! I found what I wanted online. It was a lot less than the ones I had seen in the glitzy retail stores. But there is a reason for this - retail outlets have huge expenses that online businesses do not - rent, employees, theft, insurance, and the list goes on. So an online retailer can sell for less than a brick and mortar store and still make the same amount of money!
Bottom line - you do pay for quality - but you don’t have to be ignorant about this. Shop around, know your prices and follow the competition and do a little legwork - or in my case a little finger work:)
How does one buy style in a men’s ring? Is it color? Is it fashion? Is it size or type of material? Is it strength or durability? Is it eye-catching luster? Is it the stones that are inlaid? What really makes your ring a style for you?
Here are some thoughts. First of all and probably the most important aspect - do you think it is stylish? do you think it looks right on your hand? Does it mean something to you more than just another piece of jewelry?
My favorite is a black ceramic ring from mensringstore.com. Does this mean this will be your favorite? NO. I chose mine for entirely different reasons than why you will be choosing yours. I love black. You might love white or gold or some other color or material.
Style is like beauty - it lies in the eye of the beholder. My suggestion is to do your homework - find out all about the various styles and fashions on the market today. Pick one out and ask someone or a few people you really trust. Tell them why you like it - and ask them for their honest opinion.
Remember - you will be the one wearing this men’s ring - not anyone else - so buy it for the most important person in life - YOU.
Is a men’s ring a good investment? It depends upon what you are looking for in an investment. Are you looking for a financial return on the money you spent? Are you looking for the item purchased to be worth more over time? Are you looking for a lifetime of pleasure and enjoyment from your purchase? Are you looking for all of the above?
To me - I did not buy my tungsten ring as an investment - as one might think of a pure investment. I did not go out and buy one thinking I need this to be worth more in 10 years than it is today. But what I did do was this - I looked for one that would last, was covered by a lifetime warranty, one that I would be proud of, one that would not tarnish or fade or even scratch. Will my ring be worth more than the $200 I paid in 10 or 15 years? I doubt it. But will I have enjoyed every moment I wore it? I think so.
I almost bought a ceramic ring but I truly did want toget something that would last so I changed my mind. I am convinced that the ring I bought is the best for looks, quality and a return on my investment - but you will have to make that decision for yourself. Good luck.
How do you pay for a men’s ring if you are buying online? It is a different story in the retail store or the mall or even if you sue the newspaper and buy a used one. Many times you can use cash or a check … but how do you pay online?
One of the most secure methods of paying online is a company called Paypal. The wonderful thing about using this service is that you can use a credit card or you can simply have the money taken out of your checking account if you prefer. In most cases if you have dispute with the vendor, Paypal will help you settle the dispute and protect your money in the interim.
Of course using a credit card - if the online store accepts them - is another secure method of payment. In today’s world, paying online is safe if you use good judgment and only buy from reputable sites. And again, if a dispute should occur your credit card company will help you by getting yoru money into a safe place while the dispute proceeds.
So whether it is a tungsten ring or a ceramic ring, buy with confidence from online sources you trust and who use Paypal and who also accept all major credit cards!
I have been studying men’s ring online sites for the past few months. It has been a fascinating journey. One of the reasons is that of all the sites I have seen - they are all pretty much the same when it comes to styles, materials, colors, lay-outs, even the price ranges are within a few hundred dollars - not thousands. It has been an interesting research project with a very interesting conclusion.
The BIG difference is how these sites optimize their locations on the major search engines … Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. This is where the science comes into play. It is one thing to buy a few hundred tungsten rings or maybe even ceramic rings and then add those pictures with pricing to your site - but who knows? Who sees it? Who is going to buy?
The owner or management team must have a SEO strategy. This stands for Search Engine Optimization. And this costs money - sometimes lots of it! Let’s say you want to get to the top of the search for one of your key words - how do you do this? You can either learn how yourself or you can pay an expert. Most experts agree that the best SEO strategy is to make sure you have your key word (s) at the top of these powerful search engines so that when people look for whatever it is you are selling they can find your site. This can be done through links and blogs, etc.
You hear a lot of press about Tungsten rings. Ever wonder why? I have tried to compare these to all the other ones on the market today. Here is what I found out:
Tungsten Carbide rings are a patented design - although many suppliers carry cheap varieties that are subject to law suit for patent infringement
They are one of the most scratch resistant on the market - with the possible exception of titanium rings
They are usually warranted for life and in many cases come with a 30-day return policy
These men’s rings have all kinds of different finishes - some with lustrous and beautiful finishes and inlaid materials
Prices range from $80 to upwards of $1,000 depending upon patented versus non-patented designs, country of origin, type of finish and inlay
These do not discolor, nor do they mar easily
They are one of the heaviest rings on the market today
Well, that is my summary - I hope it helps. I have studied these for over a year now and find them to be one of the finest - if not the finest - on the market today!
