What’s price got to do with it - got to do with it? Ceramic rings that is?

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

Price. An unknown at times meaning that where price gets it basis in fact is a little strange sometimes. I have shopped for slacks, ties, shoes, pens, watches and mens rings - and sometimes I have no clue where the sellers came up with their strategy for pricing?! Have you ever experienced this? The other day I was shopping for a pair of men’s slacks in a general downtown area of the city in which I live. Cheapest were about $30 - most expensive were about $130. What made the one pair a hundred bucks more than the first? I mean I saw stuff like type of fabric, quality of stitching, number and quality of pleats, and even fabric quality - all in all I think a person gets what he pays for - most of the time.

Take shopping for a ring. I was looking for a ceramic ring the other day online. I saw them for $40 and for a hundred dollars - so what is the difference? I looked carefully and the one store - mensringstore.com - had a small but nice collection that were made they said with a ceramic bonding process whereby the rings are made with the color all the way through the ring - not just painted on the outside like so many of the foreign suppliers are prone to do. I wanted one that would last and not show signs of wear so I went ahead and bought the more expensive one - better to buy the right the first time I reasoned.

Can a Ceramic Ring compete against all the other men’s rings?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

Why ceramic rings? How can they compete? What makes them in demand in the current marketplace? Why are people buying so many of these “black” rings? Can you also buy them in other colors - white for example? Where do they come from and who makes them? Are they sold online, in stores or where? Do you see many people wearing them? Would you wear one? Would you buy one for you and one for your spouse or loved one? Do they have deeper meanings than say a gold or silver ring? Many questions, not so many answers.

Ceramic rings have been in high demand for about 6 years. Online sellers more than likely are selling far more than brick and mortar stores. Some of the online stores that have been selling these rings for many years will sell sometimes a hundred a day ranging in price from under 50 bucks to maybe $100 at tops. They are mostly manufactured in black although I have seen them in many colors including white - but they do not sell as well.

Few people buy two of the same ring - they buy one for themselves or a friend or a loved one, but not two which leads me to believe that few use them as “his and her” engagement or wedding rings. One of my favorite stores is mensringstore.com - they don’t have many to choose from but they are all BEAUTIFUL and discounted heavily - you don’t pay a fortune for one of their mens rings. They also have chosen to use pure ceramic - not dipped in color to appear to be of high standards. it is my understanding that these types will chip and fade much sooner than the one that have color-fast manufacturing processes.

One more thing - these rings are mostly made in China and overseas but some are made in the states. China has a wonderful quality control on most ceramic rings but I would be careful to spend enough to get one that will last and not dent or scratch - and be certain to buy a color-fast product. Good luck!

Quite Possibly the Best Men’s ring on the Planet

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

You may have seen claims like this before - the best car, the best home, the best washing machine, the best computer … you name it the term “best” has been applied to just about every product in the world … or in this case on the planet! Have you ever wondered what best really means? Is it relative? If so, relative to what - other products in its class? Relative to the price? Relative to the type of material or construction or even relative to the amount of service that is expected with that product?

The best men’s ring. What does THIS really mean? I’ll give you a few thoughts as to why I have made this claim. The best ring would be one that has many if not all of the following characteristics: price to value is excellent, lifetime warranty that is written and legitimate, a 30-day return policy just in case it’s NOT the best ring, durable and scratch resistant, lustrous and fashionable, been on the market long enough to prove it’s not just a fad design, in high demand, involves exacting quality control measures that are adhered to with each ring, available in men’s and women’s matching styles and sizes, features a “comfort fit” design, cannot fade or mar, maintains its value year after year. There may be more but let’s stick with these for now.

I have found only one ring that matches all of these criteria: Triton Collection Tungsten Rings from mensringstore.com. Every characteristic I mentioned, these rings have it in spades. They are also exquisitely crafted and shipped with a warranty card (from the manufacturer)!

So look around and see if you agree with this rather bold statement - I think you will end up agreeing with me …

Tungsten rings - own one or be square

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

It used to be an older model corvette. Then maybe a ‘56 Chevy. Of course at one time or another it was a leather jacket with zippers … maybe even penny loafers. The there was the flat top followed by the cardigan sweaters. We shouldn’t leave out the Army/Navy gear or the Zippo lighter. Then … there was the tungsten ring. Wow!

Another in a long line of got to have stuff! Not just any old ring - it has to be the fashionable tungsten carbide ring for men or women. Sizes from 4-16 mean you can get a his and hers special if you pay attention to where you shop! Why all the hoopla over these new styles? Durable to a fault. Rugged. Scratch-proof. No denting, no scratching, no discoloring. No nothing but cool baby!

You can get these newer fashions wherever you want to shop - malls, corner stores and even online. In fact I shopped at mensringstore.com and found an enormous selection - some under $50! But I selected one from the Triton Collection because I could tell they were superior to most I had shopped for even though I paid a little more I felt it was worth it. They also had a lifetime warranty and a 30-day return policy in case I changed my mind for whatever reason. But I didn’t - I am in the in now!

She loves me, she loves me not, express it with a men’s ring!

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Expressions of love are made in so many important ways. Have you watched how some couples just look at each other in loving ways. The eyes do not lie. They sparkle with love when love abounds …. it can’t be faked. Holding hands - what a tender way to say “I love you”. Opening the car door for your loved one, carrying in the groceries, writing a special note just to say hello, I love you. All of these are expressions of love.

Gifts carry their weight as well although sometimes a gift can be bought and given to a loved one as a cop-out. By this I mean it might be more real, more important, more expressive to say “I love you” if you haven’t said that for a while. I think sometimes we go out and spend money as a way to not have to say or express love in more meaningful ways … does that make sense? So, I guess we just have to be careful.

My wife gave me a men’s ring - a tungsten ring to be exact. I loved it. But it meant a lot to me not just because it was a gift that cost money and she had to give it thought and go shopping (she loves to shop anyway) … it meant a lot because she knew I wanted one and she took the time to find out exactly the one I wanted and even where I would shop. She is a cunning detective and she started following my Google history to see where I was spending time looking for a ring. I learned later that she saw mensringstore.com so many times that she knew that was the place and she said when she shopped there she found out they had a 30-day return policy so if I didn’t like the one she bought - I could return it and get the one I wanted! But I loved the one she bought.

And more importantly, I love her. I guess I had better go and tell her …

Discounted Men’s Rings

Monday, July 13th, 2009

I am always searching for deals - my wife is the same way. I search for deals on cars, golf clubs, tires, shoes … you know guy stuff. She searches for deals on purses, shoes, clothes, pots and pans and even food, etc. You know - girl stuff. I think most of us do this because we work hard for our money and we certainly don’t want to overpay for what we buy. We want to feel like we were smart shoppers, that we found the really good bargain - one of value that will last a lifetime even though we didn’t have to pay for a lifetime!

The other day I was searching for a men’s ring. I didn’t really have in mind exactly what style or fashion of material but I knew I wanted to update my existing wedding ring and of course I checked with my wife before I did this! Anyway, I starting a casual browse online and realized that there were a zillion stores offering rings for prices that seemed very reasonable - some even cheap. But I didn’t want cheap - I wanted a good value and there is a difference as we all know.

My favorite site was mensringstore.com because they have a section called discontinued rings - man, this was a great bargain basement if I have ever seen one. They had a tungsten ring for $49.00 (regularly $229.00) that I bought on the spot. It came with a lifetime warranty and a 30-day return policy in case I didn’t get the right size or something. I also was able to pay using PayPal which made the whole thing seem safe to me.

Good price, a durable and fashionable style that will last a lifetime - all for under $50.00! Sold!

Titanium rings versus titanium golf clubs: your pick!

Monday, July 13th, 2009

I first heard of titanium when I was studying airplane design and manufacturing in a physics class in college. There are many applications of this metal, one being in the manufacture of aircraft wings. One of the reason sis that titanium as a metal is extremely hard yet lightweight. Perfect for a wing on a plane! But there are a host of other uses.

Have you ever seen golf clubs made of titanium? Well they are. they use this durable material to plate the woods in many of the finer clubs. I don’t know if Tiger Woods (the number one golfer in the world) uses titanium clubs but for guys like me, they are plentiful and not too expensive.

I have also noticed that some of the finer jewelry stores sell titanium rings as well as gold and silver and tungsten rings. Can you imagine wearing a men’s ring made of titanium? Why use this material? Because it is, as stated above, very hard and durable, yet lightweight. I don’t know about you but I hate to wear heavy jewelry on my hand or fingers so this type is perfect.

I checked online at mensringstore.com. They offer a lifetime warranty on each of their many styles and a 30-day return policy and have great prices - discounted up to 57% off retail. So if youre looking for one of these, you might want to check them out!

The End Result - Another Men’s Ring Sold!

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Men’s rings are sold each day - thousands of them. Where? Brick and mortar stores like shopping malls and ma and pa stores in cities throughout the world. But in today’s fast-paced, get it now mentality, a newcomer has arrived on the scene … online jewelry stores. Have you seen them? They are everywhere and how do you find them? Easy - let your fingers do the walking right to the store of your choice with the best selection and the best prices and the best customer  service.

You don’t have to be a mens ring connoisseur to make the choice either. let me explain what I mean. Many of the best rings stores - my favorite is mensringstore.com - have a 30-day ring return policy so that if you buy something that when you receive it you don’t like it - simply return it with no questions asked. simple. Right?

Another thing. Finely made styles have lifetime warranties to match because the sellers believe in what they are selling. That also helps when you are wondering which one to buy and/or who to buy from. So make it safe and simple and go for it. You’ll be glad you did. I was!
