If you were searching for the perfect men’s wedding band - would it be a gold one? How about a titanium ring? Ceramic? Silver? Well think again and while you’re at it - take a look - a long look - at the newest member of the Triton Collection - the 2211C in a 9 mm, patented (TC.850) band with satin finish and .05 cwt diamond Tungsten Carbide. And oh, by the way, it also comes with the one of the most desirable features of men’s rings these days - a comfort fit design. And if you care anything about warranties - you might want to check out this one - a lifetime warranty FROM THE FACTORY - not the seller! You don’t see that very often - do you?
I first saw this beauty at an online seller - what caught my attention was the quality of the .05 diamond - it had a shine and luster that you see in rings that sell for thousands … but this one was only $249. OK, OK, I had to shop around to find that price but I found it!
Retailers tend to have enormous markups to cover all of the employees and high rent costs and advertising and insurance and signage, etc., etc., etc. But online sellers just have to pay for well, just themselves! So go ahead and shop - maybe you’ll find a beauty like I did!!!
Many reasons come to mind … first, they are durable! But until recently, the metal was too difficult to work into the detailed, intricate shapes with the detail necessary for fine men’s rings. But now, Titanium rings — including engagement rings and wedding bands — are one of the fastest, hottest, most in-demand sectors in fashion jewelry.
We found out that Titanium is similar to Tungsten when considering its unique combination of sheer beauty and durability but it is a far lighter substance than tungsten (more comparable to Aluminum in weight than to steel or a heavier metal). is light weight an advantage? Many people want a light feel to their ring - not something that is so heavy as to be constantly aware that they are wearing something heavy on their finger. That is why these products are so hot and why they are given a run-for-the-money to Titanium rings.
Similarities? Like Tungsten, Titanium rings hold their shape and luster due to the nature of its extreme hardness – many say that titanium has the highest strength to weight ratio of any known element - but I could not verify that.
And if that is not enough - their are a few more characteristics that account for their popularity - they are also Cobalt free which is extremely important when considering potential allergic reactions. You will find that they do not rust and they are of course, due to its durability, scratch resistant.
The Triton Collection model 11-2009T is a brilliantly brushed solid titanium ring with fashionable, world-class craftsmanship, and is protected by the Men’s Ring Store 30-day return policy with free lifetime warranty. Why titanium?
Titanium has been too difficult to work into the finely crafted shapes with the precision necessary for fine jewelry; however, today, these durable rings — including engagement rings and wedding bands — are a fast growing segment of the the fashion market in part due to the ability of the metal in today’s world to be carved and fashioned without losing strength.
Titanium and Tungsten are both unique in their sheer beauty and durability but a main difference is that titanium rings are far lighter than their big brother - tungsten carbide. Is light weight an advantage for Titanium rings? Many people think so when wearing this lighter variety - it feels as if nothing is on your finger and many men and women prefer this feel to the heavier tungsten.
The Triton Collection model 11-2007T is a Titanium ring with a dual 18kt. Yellow Gold inlay in a comfort fit design featuring a lifetime warranty and a desirable blend of Yellow Gold … it is also protected by the Men’s Ring Store 30-day return policy.
Titanium is in high demand these days, very similar to Tungsten in hardness and durability and yet has a smooth, glossy finish that is far less weight than the heavier tungsten carbide rings (comparable to Aluminum in weight).
Titanium rings also maintain their luster and its extreme hardness – the highest strength to weight ratio of any known element - is a good choice for the man who likes to work with his hands on any kind of job and yet desires an eye-catching, lustrous men’s ring. Truly, this is one of the leading categories and styles in the men’s fashion jewelry industry.
The Triton Collection model 11-2006T is a 7 mm, Titanium ring with 18kt. Yellow Gold inlay and comes with a unique polished edge design and the fashionable and trusted comfort fit feature. This men’s ring is elegant yet simple and is crafted in rich looking and valuable 18kt. solid gold! All styles are protected by a lifetime warranty but the real reason to choose one of these beauties is the durable, hardened finish that has a permanent shine and luster found in few comparative rings.
You can choose this particular style in sizes ranging from 4 to 16 - why not choose a his and her variety?
An interesting thing comes to mind about a his and hers wedding ring. Would all couples like his and hers? Does it have special meaning when the mens ring matches the woman’s ring? Is there a hidden, richer symbolism behind a marriage where the rings match each other? Do all styles or rings have the capability of a his and hers matching quality? How often do you see a his and her matching style - is this common? My personal research indicates that it is not common, in fact it is very rare. And why?
There are many reasons but one of them is not that the newer fashions are not available in his and her styles. I checked out an online site that carried the Triton Collection and I noticed that virtually every style in titanium rings and tungsten rings had sizing from 4 to 15.5! Do men wear a size 4? No. Only women - so in just one store I found almost a hundred styles that were available not just for the man, but also - in exact matching detail - for the woman!
The more I have thought about it the more I like the idea. A bonding together, a sameness that expresses itself in common fidelity, in love forever. I like the idea that the man and woman share similar tastes, there is already far too much of being different and separate and individualistic in the world - don’t you think?
But there is more … what is important and beautiful to you is important and beautiful to me. What you like for you - I like for me. We can be different in so many varied ways - let’s make our ring selection be symbolic of a uniting of minds and hearts and of being one. In any event, they are available and they are plentiful and they are fashionable and priced right - so no excuses.
Today’s economy is anemic at best. Housing starts are almost non-existent, most trades people - particularly in the building industry have faced a grueling past 18 to 24 months. Stocks have soured until just recently. Car sales have plummeted along with corporate profits. There are more people out of work today than any time in the past 25 years. Many are calling this downturn the worst since the Great Depression. Everywhere you turn people are talking about how this affects them, what has happened to their 401K’s, and how they plan to weather the storm without loosing their home and possibly all that they have.
Has this affected the way we drive and what we purchase and how much we purchase and how we look at price and value when we do make a purchase - I think the answer is yes! And yet, with the doom and gloom there are those who have managed to see through the storm, find their light and passion in something special to them, and have moved onward, forward, positively taking steps to help them not just manage the storms all about us but somehow to create a living - a good living - to inspire and motivate, to reach within and without and to somehow make the best of the bad.
One such company I have found - without mentioning the name of the store is an online seller of ceramic rings. Not just ceramic, but tungsten rings and titanium rings as well. They have managed to make their investments and to start optimizing their online web site in such a way as to really draw customers to exciting quality products at prices far below retail prices. The site is clean, it is easy to navigate and buyers are protected by using all major credit cards and PayPal as well. A little light in the storm maybe. If one company can do this - maybe there is hope for all. Send us your story of success … I think we can all use a little positive reinforcement!
Men’s ceramic rings - who would have ever thought of such a category in popular, men’s fashions? I have seen these growing in popularity over the last 4 years - they are now catching up with the hot new tungsten rings and even to some extent with the ever popular styles in titanium rings. In fact these three categories have blown by the more traditional styles in gold and silver. Why all the recent news and popularity?
There are of course many reasons but one top reason these ceramic styles are so hot right now is that they don’t just look fashionable, they don’t just look great and lustrous and eye-catching - they are priced to sell. You can get some of the cheaper ones for under $50! For the more discerning customer - you can find them for around $150-200 … these are the ones that are made better with more of a strict manufacturing process and are made with ceramic all the way through the ring rather than just plated on the outside.
You might check out the newest online retailers now - they sell cheaper than in stores because they don’t have the high rent costs and advertising costs and they don’t have to pay for as many employees and those costs that are associated with them. They simply build a web site for around a few thousand dollars and then wait for the rings to catch someone’s eye online! Now of course there are very sophisticated ways of making sure people see your products online - they call this Search Engine Optimization … but the bottom line is that the online seller must gather clients in one way or another.
So get out there and help these sellers - at least look at what they have to offer - particularly the new ceramic ring category - you’ll be happy you did when you join this new fashion train!
I can’t figure out how people come up with such creative ways of making things. Not just men’s rings I mean how they use substances like stainless steel for cars and plastic for cell phones and computers. I even saw a hand bad and a matching dress made of “duct tape”!!! Go figure. I guess that is why I am so intrigued with titanium rings.
I knew titanium was used for space age stuff like wings on space craft and in a number of athletic applications like golf clubs - but mens wedding rings?
Titanium rings hold their shape and luster due to its extreme hardness – in fact it has the highest strength to weight ratio of any known element. These and other characteristics make them the leading category in the men’s fashion jewelry industry.
Titanium is 99% pure in the leading manufacturers standards and nickel free. It is extremely lightweight and strong; is corrosion resistant and will not fade in the sunlight and has no known reaction to saltwater.
As stated, titanium rings have many positive characteristics when compared to other conventional materials - far stronger and harder and wears better and doesn’t mar easily. It is a lighter metal which allows for far more design opportunities. They are also Cobalt free which is extremely important when considering potential allergic reactions; it does not rust, is corrosion and scratch resistant and will never tarnish.
Due to its light weight, they are more durable and thicker than their counterparts in Silver, Gold and Platinum increasing the durability and potential for a life time of enjoyment. They are also more resistant to scratches and color abnormalities in that Titanium Rings are not “pigmented” or “painted”.
In summary - if you haven’t considered one of the newer entrants into the world of fashion jewelry - maybe it’s time you did!
What do you think of when you think of guy stuff that is “rugged”? My daughter walked into my office one day when I had opened a package of Krinkle Cut Chips. She took one and tasted it and said, “these are mountain man, rugged chips.” This statement caused me to think about the term “rugged”. What does it mean or imply? Is this a good term, a neutral term or a derogatory term? How would you describe a pair of rugged men’s jeans? My sense is that they would be blue or tan, but somewhat faded, they would have just enough holes or worn places to show a man had worked in them and they would probably be button up instead of zipper in the front. Might even have a loop for a knife or a hammer on one of the back pockets. They would certainly not have a crease down the front and be hole-free now would they? And they wouldn’t be sharply pressed with no worn spots.
Can you picture a men’s rugged sport? I picture rugby or possibly soccer/football - but I would never compare that term with tennis or even golf. Just too dainty - I would say to be rugged it would have to have some dirt and blood in the mix somewhere.
Now to the title - what about a mens rings? What makes a rugged one? Well, I would not picture one with gold and diamonds - too sissy and demure. How about a stainless steel with a light blue band - you’ve got to be kidding me. How about a tungsten ring or a titanium ring? Now you’re talking. I mean … indestructible. No fading. Tough. Cut these babies off your bloody finger tough. No way they are going to get damaged or scratched. They always look new …
Oops. Always look new? Can this be a sign of rugged? Back to the drawing board.
