A “Promotional” Ring that is truly PROMOTIONAL!

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

Promotional - kind of a worn our term these days isn’ it? Especially at this time of year - Thanksgiving and Christmas and other major holidays - they all seem to bring the word “promotional” out of the wood-work …

I just happened to see this word associated with a ring store that was online and something about it caught my attention. I am familiar with the Triton Collection of men’s rings having seen many and worn one as well. So when I saw the term “promotional” associated with Triton - I took a second look. I’m glad I did …

Here’s why - Triton is famous (sells rings all over the world) for their patented, 30-step manufacturing process - this is not the ordinary run-of-the-mill factory in china producing cheap knock-offs! They make beautiful eye-catching, fashionable and award-winning designs that will probably last 10 generations unless they get lost in the generation shuffle.

The particular one I saw was the Triton, Patented (TC.850), 21-2359C  Tungsten Carbide ring from the Triton Collection with Carbon Fiber inlay, .05 cwt Diamond, and a special Comfort Fit design (which means they are easier to come off your finger in the summer when our fingers swell. The promotion was for under $250.00 which is a GREAT PRICE! In fact, I have been a ring shopper and I have never seen a better value for this quality.

Triton Tungsten Carbide 21-2359C - on sale now!

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

I have shopped all over the web and in many retail stores - but this is one special price on a patented (TC.850) solid tungsten carbide ring from the makers of the Triton Collection - one of the premier brands of rings in the world. What makes this one even more special is the price - it is now discounted at Men’s Ring Store to under $300 (regularly $600) for a 50% discount!

Here’s a little more about it: patented (TC.850) Tungsten Carbide rings are only made by Triton and this particular one has a true Carbon Fiber inlay, .05 cwt Diamond, and Comfort Fit design which makes the ring not just eye-catching but easy to wear and with the real diamond - it is a piece of work!  This model comes in a variety of sizes so that if you want a mens and womens (his and her) look, you’ve got it with this model.

Finally, a Men’s Wedding Ring Made to Last a Lifetime!

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

You’ve probably seen advertisements for mens rings that say something like this - free lifetime warranty. But when you read the fine print it says something like this - does not cover breakage, scratches or loss of stones - please contact your homeowner’s insurance carrier in the event of lost precious stones. Well hello! What does it cover then? Basically it si a marketing scheme to sell, sell, sell!

I was looking online the other evening and found a Triton tungsten ring - OK - another ring for the discerning man - right. Well yes and more … what made me dig a little deeper was the written warranty that came with the ring. Wow. Listen to this: Tungsten Carbide Ring. Patented for Strength - TC.850. This certifies that this ring is made of TC.850 the patented formulation of 85% Tungsten Carbide, the world’s hardest metallic substance. This special formulation creates a scratch-resistant, forever polished luster. Triton’s special micro-grain structure and hardness of a factor of 8.5 on the Moh’s Scale of Hardness as compared to a factor of 10 for a diamond. The Triton warranty includes a lifetime ring size exchange …

Now that’s what I call a real warranty! I checked out a number of these Triton Rings online and they cost a little more than the out-of-country knock-offs but with this warranty and the styles they offer on these patented beauties, I was sold. You will be too!

The Triton Men’s Ring Advantage

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

Triton. A solid name, a solid warranty, a solid reputation. Triton makes a wide variety or men’s rings from Stainless Steel to Titanium to Tungsten. The Triton warranty includes lifetime ring size exchange as Tungsten Rings cannot be re-sized due to their extreme hardness!

The Triton tungsten carbide rings are made of TC.850, the patented formulation of the world’s hardest substance. This formulation creates a scratch resistant, forever polished luster. Their special micro-grain structure insures that each ring has the strength and hardness of 8.5 on the Mohs Scales of Hardness as compared to a factor of 10 for a diamond.

Actual Triton rings are covered under the following patents: 6062045, 6553667, 6990736, 6928734, 6993842, 7032314 and 7076972.

These rings are 10 times harder than 18k gold. This patented manufacturing phenomenon is created in a sintering process by firing tungsten combined with carbon powder at 6,200 degrees fahrenheit. They are also hypoallergenic, typically in a deep gray color, are scratch resistant and are valued at 1280 on the Vickers Hardness scale.

Perfect for the man who is looking for a rugged, durable yet fashionable look in today’s jewelry industry.

Tungsten rings - own one or be square

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

It used to be an older model corvette. Then maybe a ‘56 Chevy. Of course at one time or another it was a leather jacket with zippers … maybe even penny loafers. The there was the flat top followed by the cardigan sweaters. We shouldn’t leave out the Army/Navy gear or the Zippo lighter. Then … there was the tungsten ring. Wow!

Another in a long line of got to have stuff! Not just any old ring - it has to be the fashionable tungsten carbide ring for men or women. Sizes from 4-16 mean you can get a his and hers special if you pay attention to where you shop! Why all the hoopla over these new styles? Durable to a fault. Rugged. Scratch-proof. No denting, no scratching, no discoloring. No nothing but cool baby!

You can get these newer fashions wherever you want to shop - malls, corner stores and even online. In fact I shopped at mensringstore.com and found an enormous selection - some under $50! But I selected one from the Triton Collection because I could tell they were superior to most I had shopped for even though I paid a little more I felt it was worth it. They also had a lifetime warranty and a 30-day return policy in case I changed my mind for whatever reason. But I didn’t - I am in the in now!

My horse and my tungsten ring - inseparable!

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

I own two horses - one is good for nothing and the other is worth as much as she weighs. The difference - the one loves to be ridden and loves the attention that I give her. She is always calm and responsive and loves to eat right out of my hand. The other one - well let’s just say in a few years there will be a few dogs with more food than they ever imagined. How can two horses be so different? My wife doesn’t ride with me because her horse - the one I just described as dog food - can’t be ridden without great effort and a painful experience from saddling all the way through getting her out of the barn, to the meadow or mountain and back without a major catastrophe! What a pain!

I also own two rings. One is a tungsten ring. The other one is a silver beast that was given to me by my great aunt - supposed to be a family heirloom. I think it is more of a family disaster.

My tungsten carbide ring was given to me by my wife about 7 years ago. It looks like it did when I first placed it on my finger. Polished. Lustrous. Perfect condition. I love it like I love my horse - it is dependable and looks great.

I’m not trying to play favorites, I am just saying that when it comes to a men’s ring - it should be as dependable as his horse and the only one I found to deliver for me - we ll now you know!

What’s the difference between tungsten and tungsten carbide rings?

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

Generally speaking these terms are interchangeable. The correct term to use is Tungsten Carbide rings. Why? Because of the way these are made. Tungsten in its powder form is combined with carbon using heat which forms tungsten carbide.
Tungsten’s atomic number is 74 and it is the hardest metal in the world. Interestingly, this metal is 10 times harder than 18k gold and rates 8-9 on the Mohs hardness scale (only diamonds are higher at 10 on this scale). It also has the highest tensile strength.
In its raw form the metal is steel gray and typically maintains this color and characteristic even after being formed with carbon into its final state.
One might wonder why this substance was used to craft jewelry - the answer lies in the following:
· Most scratch-resistant in the world
· Hypoallergenic
· Never needs polishing
· Scratch resistant
· Does not fade or discolor
· Is probably the most durable of all rings on the planet
You can find these products all over the world. One of the most cost-effective places is online in they are usually discounted off high retail prices. My favorite is mensringstore.com because they have a huge selection, heavily discounted prices, a 30-day return policy and each one carries a lifetime warranty.
Some might ask why these rings are priced from $100 up to thousands of dollars. This occurs less from the terms we have been discussing and more from the craftsmanship and materials used in the product. For instance there are a number of manufacturers who cut corners when creating their products. The finest tungsten carbide rings that I have researched come from the Triton Collection which is not just patented but involves a 30-step process - one step left out causes a deterioration in quality of the end product. Many of these are manufactured in third world countries where cost to produce and thereby sell is far more important that end product quality. It really does pay to do your homework and choose the style and fashion that fits your needs but without cutting quality.
These beautiful creations come in a variety of styles and finishes from brushed to highly polished, from inlaid with gold and precious stones to more plain and domed. I have also seen very creative designs like carved or lasered etchings in the final product - some of the most unique and eye-catching creations on the market. I also like the sizing capabilities in that if you want his and hers - you can find sizes from 4 to 16! So make sure to check out more Tungsten rings.
And one final note - although this collection of fine rings is growing in popularity across the globe, there are other styles, products, materials and precious stones and inlaid materials that account for over 95% of the market. I mention this because although this author feels the tungsten carbide ring genre is one of the finest and will be a long-term player, don’t forget that if you need a product that is not quite as heavy to wear you might want to look into titanium or ceramic rings.

These beautiful creations come in a variety of styles and finishes from brushed to highly polished, from inlaid with gold and precious tones to more plain and domed. I also like the sizing capabilities in that if you want his and hers - you can find sizes from 4 to 16! So make sure to check out more Tungsten carbide rings.

The Blackberry and the Tungsten Carbide Ring

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

Have you seen the new BB Curve? Cool! The camera is 3.2 Mp and takes amazing pictures. it has all the features you would ever want in a smart phone including an easy to dial phone system with massive memory for contacts and a nifty calendar system that can sync with your online calendar back at home. I didn’t mean for this to be a commercial for the new Blackberry, I just really appreciate technology that works like it is supposed to and saves so mcuh hassle and time and energy.  I get tired of technology that doesn’t live up to its reputation.

When I think about men’s rings - like the tungsten carbide ring I wear - I have to admit the same feelings rise to the surface. I like things that work and look right. that do what they are advertised to do. when I bought my ring - they said it wouldn’t scratch - it doesn’t. They said it would shine with a permanent luster - it does. They said it would be eye-catching and that people would ask me where I got it - they do and I tell them - mensringstore.com!

I don’t think I am that different than most people - we expect certain things and we are ahppy and satisfied when they occur. the opposite is true as well. anyway, I love my BB Curve and I love my ring. So there you have it - I talk about both of them all the time. I need to find something else to talk about!!
