Triton 2211C - a diamond in the rough!

Friday, January 29th, 2010

If you were searching for the perfect men’s wedding band - would it be a gold one? How about a titanium ring? Ceramic? Silver? Well think again and while you’re at it - take a look - a long look - at the newest member of the Triton Collection - the 2211C in a 9 mm, patented (TC.850) band with satin finish and .05 cwt diamond Tungsten Carbide. And oh, by the way, it also comes with the one of the most desirable features of men’s rings these days - a comfort fit design. And if you care anything about warranties - you might want to check out this one - a lifetime warranty FROM THE FACTORY - not the seller! You don’t see that very often - do you?

I first saw this beauty at an online seller - what caught my attention was the quality of the .05 diamond - it had a shine and luster that you see in rings that sell for thousands … but this one was only $249. OK, OK, I had to shop around to find that price but I found it!

Retailers tend to have enormous markups to cover all of the employees and high rent costs and advertising and insurance and signage, etc., etc., etc. But online sellers just have to pay for well, just themselves! So go ahead and shop - maybe you’ll find a beauty like I did!!!

Sell me a men’s wedding band!

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Do I have to scream this from the rooftop? Sell me a men’s wedding band! Let me tell you how this all started …

I am in my favorite mall heading for the largest and most respected jewelry store in the state. I am on a mission. My soon-to-be daughter in law called me in a panic and said the men’s ring she had ordered for their wedding was somehow lost in the mail - no one could find it although she had been trying to track the shipment for 7 days. Vanished. She was not happy and really needed my help and Ai did not want to disappoint her. You know what the mother-in-law reputation is like without a heavy disappointment heaped upon it!

The salesperson, I will call her Gloria, was pleasant and professional. I explained the dilemma and said I needed to pick something out today - no time for sizing or anything else. She said she understood. I looked through dozens of styles and narrowed it down to one of two tungsten rings. They were beautiful and under $300 each. Finally i decided and told Gloria to put it in a ring box and I would take it. She hesitated. I waited. We were at a standstill.

She said slowly, “may I make a suggestion, I know you are in a hurry but don’t you think we ought to show this to the bride first? This will mean as much to her as to her husband and given my experience I think it would be the right thing to do.” I felt like saying the right thing to do is to put the #@!x&# ring in the box. I tried to explain the situation again and she OK, let me get my manager. I said no, just tell me the final price, I will pay for it and leave - I am in a huge hurry. She said OK but went straight to her manager and sure enough he is on his way …

I know you wouldn’t have done this, but I simply picked up my purse and left the store … I could hear them calling after me but I didn’t even look back. I found another store, picked out the ring I wanted and bought it without a glitch.

Just sell me the ring!!!!!

Getting past the quality issue with mens wedding bands

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Have you noticed that a typical mens wedding band ranges in price from $100-500? Now this range can also extend downwards of $20 and up to the thousands. Ever wondered why? In some cases you can attribute the majority of this factor to just plain greed, commonly referred to as markup in the jewelry industry. You can buy cheaper knock off mens rings from the US, China and third-world countries. They typically cost far less, no patents on the designs and no standards by which to govern the production and shipping and service processes. You can lump these factors into a “get what you pay for” strategy.

I have found personally that buying a ring - regardless for what purpose (gift, significant other, wedding, etc.) is a matter of research, finding the right seller, determining the budget and analyzing the service after the sale components. I am also one who throws out the highest price and the lowest price. My experience has taught me that buying cheap is really buying wrong and that buying expensive tends to break the bank - at least for me!

I found a site online called mensringstore.com. They sell mid and mid-high mens rings of all styles, fashions, prices and materials. I love their return policy, I love their warranty, I love their prices. My sense is that a person can find what they are looking for at the right price - shipped within 3 business days - perfect for me!

Tungsten Wedding Bands - Long Live Quality and the Brand

Friday, June 12th, 2009

I am not one who likes to buy something twice or over and over. Buy it once - that’s my motto. It saves the hassle of multiple purchases and it saves a lot of money and time! When I buy a car - I shop for the likes of Lexus and Mercedes Benz - they cost more up front and they may cost a little more to maintain but I know I am buying quality that lasts. The brand is also important - I feel good while I am driving them but the most important aspect of the purchase is the fact that I know what I bought and it is quality. Period.

I guess I feel the same way when I buy a mens wedding band. I like tungsten rings the most but I also like ceramic rings. They symbolize quality in that they are both very durable and scratch-resistant. I like the fact that they look polished - always. They don’t fade. they don’t dent. They are hip and popular and the brand is something I identify with as well.

Give me one mens ring, one car, one coat, one house - but make it the best there is and I’m a happy man. The more I think about it - if I wear the finest mens ring on the planet because I like quality and to buy something right the first time - doesn’t this speak to one wife. The right wife the first time - one you love and looks beautiful and one you can trust and adore and put first in your life.

I think it all ties together - makes sense to this man …
