If you were searching for the perfect men’s wedding band - would it be a gold one? How about a titanium ring? Ceramic? Silver? Well think again and while you’re at it - take a look - a long look - at the newest member of the Triton Collection - the 2211C in a 9 mm, patented (TC.850) band with satin finish and .05 cwt diamond Tungsten Carbide. And oh, by the way, it also comes with the one of the most desirable features of men’s rings these days - a comfort fit design. And if you care anything about warranties - you might want to check out this one - a lifetime warranty FROM THE FACTORY - not the seller! You don’t see that very often - do you?
I first saw this beauty at an online seller - what caught my attention was the quality of the .05 diamond - it had a shine and luster that you see in rings that sell for thousands … but this one was only $249. OK, OK, I had to shop around to find that price but I found it!
Retailers tend to have enormous markups to cover all of the employees and high rent costs and advertising and insurance and signage, etc., etc., etc. But online sellers just have to pay for well, just themselves! So go ahead and shop - maybe you’ll find a beauty like I did!!!
The Triton Collection model 11-2007T is a Titanium ring with a dual 18kt. Yellow Gold inlay in a comfort fit design featuring a lifetime warranty and a desirable blend of Yellow Gold … it is also protected by the Men’s Ring Store 30-day return policy.
Titanium is in high demand these days, very similar to Tungsten in hardness and durability and yet has a smooth, glossy finish that is far less weight than the heavier tungsten carbide rings (comparable to Aluminum in weight).
Titanium rings also maintain their luster and its extreme hardness – the highest strength to weight ratio of any known element - is a good choice for the man who likes to work with his hands on any kind of job and yet desires an eye-catching, lustrous men’s ring. Truly, this is one of the leading categories and styles in the men’s fashion jewelry industry.
The Triton Collection model 11-2006T is a 7 mm, Titanium ring with 18kt. Yellow Gold inlay and comes with a unique polished edge design and the fashionable and trusted comfort fit feature. This men’s ring is elegant yet simple and is crafted in rich looking and valuable 18kt. solid gold! All styles are protected by a lifetime warranty but the real reason to choose one of these beauties is the durable, hardened finish that has a permanent shine and luster found in few comparative rings.
You can choose this particular style in sizes ranging from 4 to 16 - why not choose a his and her variety?
What do you think of when you think of guy stuff that is “rugged”? My daughter walked into my office one day when I had opened a package of Krinkle Cut Chips. She took one and tasted it and said, “these are mountain man, rugged chips.” This statement caused me to think about the term “rugged”. What does it mean or imply? Is this a good term, a neutral term or a derogatory term? How would you describe a pair of rugged men’s jeans? My sense is that they would be blue or tan, but somewhat faded, they would have just enough holes or worn places to show a man had worked in them and they would probably be button up instead of zipper in the front. Might even have a loop for a knife or a hammer on one of the back pockets. They would certainly not have a crease down the front and be hole-free now would they? And they wouldn’t be sharply pressed with no worn spots.
Can you picture a men’s rugged sport? I picture rugby or possibly soccer/football - but I would never compare that term with tennis or even golf. Just too dainty - I would say to be rugged it would have to have some dirt and blood in the mix somewhere.
Now to the title - what about a mens rings? What makes a rugged one? Well, I would not picture one with gold and diamonds - too sissy and demure. How about a stainless steel with a light blue band - you’ve got to be kidding me. How about a tungsten ring or a titanium ring? Now you’re talking. I mean … indestructible. No fading. Tough. Cut these babies off your bloody finger tough. No way they are going to get damaged or scratched. They always look new …
Oops. Always look new? Can this be a sign of rugged? Back to the drawing board.
Have you ever thought about this question? Or, has anyone asked you how many men’s wedding rings you own? Does it really matter? Has your spouse ever talked with you about this question? What is proper? What is acceptable? What is practical? What is necessary? What is needed? Ask 10 people, get 10 different answers … go ahead and try it. Some will start out with it depends … others will say firmly it doesn’t matter. Still others will offer - one - why would anyone need more? And of course there are those who say everyone is different and beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder … well you get the routine!
Let’s start with custom, tradition, protocol. Fifty years ago - more than one wedding ring would be overkill, unnecessary and even labled as wrong. One ring - one marriage - one covenant - one woman. To own more would be saying that the first men’s ring was somehow insufficient or lacking in some degree and then of course the question - who buys the second one? The woman? The man? Get’s complicated …
But in today’s freer thinking and more liberal society - is more better? Maybe. Many men in today’s society work outside but also have a large portion of their life devoted to indoor activities - in the professional, cultural and societal elements. As such, they might want one ring to wear outdoors and another (one that is not scratched or worn) for wearing indoors. And what about style - might there be one that matches their watch or cuff-links better than another. How about one that matches their spouses dress, purse, hat, etc. better than another?
It is this man’s opinion that the days of one ring for the man are over. In fact my favorite is a titanium ring with nitinol cable inlay but I wear a gold or stainless steel often during the workday … what are your thoughts? I would love to hear from you.
We have all heard many variations of the theme - he who dies with the most toys wins. Or, enjoy it now because you can’t take it with you. Or, I’m spending my grand children’s inheritance. Whatever your favorite, they all mean about the same thing, when your life is over, your belongings stay behind. I realize the idea of memories and love and all of those things are debatable but I’m referring to worldly possessions. I’ll get into the debatable “emotional and intellectual takeaways” at the end of this piece.
I have been to many, many funerals. I have noticed something that caused me to think about this notion of not taking anything with us. Have you noticed that when the guy is in his coffin, he typically still has his men’s ring on his finger? No watch, no pen, no will by his side, no car, no house, no nothing … just a titanium ring on his finger. Now I realize they are not all titanium, some are ceramic or gold or even tungsten rings. But the point is the same. They have died and they do take one thing with them … a ring.
Of course this is a mere symbolic “taking”. What they are really taking is the love and the memories and the experiences that are all wrapped around this little piece of jewelry. But, isn’t it interesting that we wear this to the grave … whether it is real or imagined … we still try to take with us those things that matter most, that have been cloest to us and these are sybolized by a simple band on the finger. It might pay to think of this the next time we are tempted to act in a disloyal way agasint those we love.
What could it be? Gold? No. Platinum? No. There is no easy answer but I am going to at least try and offer some perspective on this subject.
I have been researching all kinds of rings lately. For a man - a men’s ring - I am going to say a titanium ring is the best of all worlds! Why?
They look very sleek and expensive but are generally under $500 - even for the nicest ones. The come in a variety of styles, colors, inlaid materials, etc. One of my favorites is one that has nitinol cable running throughout with or without real diamonds suspended in the design.
The best places to buy them is online for the cost savings but there are also a variety of stores that sell them in malls all across the US.
Why do I say this? Because I believe it. Because I have one. Because I know many people who own a tungsten ring and they love it! It begs the question - why are so many people purchasing these types and styles these days - all over the world?
I think there are many reasons. First, they come in so many, many different varieties and sizes and are worn by both men and women. Second, they are so very resistant to scratching. Third, they are durable enough for it to be considered a real men’s ring. And fourth, they can be inlaid with all types of beautiful and stylish materials including diamonds.
These elegant jewelry pieces are every bit as nice, as fashionable and as durable as the hot titanium ring designs on the market today but they are even more durable and long lasting.
Are you savvy enough to find a great ring on the internet at the right price? I was shopping for a men’s ring the other day and this is my experience.
I decided to first check on - to go surfing. I don’t trust eBay so much anymore so I looked for a site online that I could buy from with confidence. I was looking for someone who knew what they were doing, had a strong reputation as far as warranty, quality, etc. and from whom I could pay for my product using PayPal or at least a credit card for online security and in case I wanted to return it.
I was using Yahoo and typed in Ceramic Ring - the very first site I saw was mensringstore.com! That was all it took. For one thing I know enough about search engines to know if you type in a search word and a site comes up - this is a company that has made an investment in what they do. Second they had a 30-day return policy, accepted all credit cards and even PayPal. I was set and made the decision to buy one that was different from what I thought.
My favorite turned out to be a titanium ring even though I was looking for something totally different. They had about 80 different styles all at reduced prices from high retail stores. So, whatever you need, check out the stores online - and I hope your experience was as good as mine.
I haven’t paid too much attention to the colors associated with men’s rings … until now. I have seen recently colors as diverse as black, silver, blue, white and many, many more. One of my favorites is a blue color - it is part of a collection called the Triton 21-2070T6 Titanium ring. How would I describe it - a brilliant blue color in the middle with a beautiful diamond as well.
I think color is such an eye-catching feature in a ring. I see so many that are bland … same old colors and materials and styles … not the type that men really want these days. To me, part of the beauty is not just the material and the style (fashion) but what is the color scheme that makes it stand out in a crowd.
One more thought - if you want to enjoy a wide breadth of these types of products - all in one spot - you might join the many who are shopping online. I found mensringstore.com to be a fasciating site that offers a huge selection, all discounted and top of the line quality!
